Prof. Dr. Visar Morina is a highly regarded law professor and legal practitioner, known for his in-depth expertise in constitutional litigation, environmental and energy law, and international investment arbitration within Kosovo’s legal framework. From 2018 to 2022, he served as a member of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe, contributing to key constitutional developments and legal reforms across the region. Domestically, Prof. Morina has achieved notable success in constitutional litigation before the Constitutional Court of Kosovo by providing legal opinions that secured landmark victories on behalf of foreign insurance companies in complex constitutional disputes. Internationally, Prof. Morina has acted as a legal expert in major arbitration proceedings, including those conducted under the ICC, involving public law and constitutional matters specific to Kosovo. These cases required advanced legal interpretation and an expert grasp of the country’s legal system. Vinita Morina is currently in the final year of her legal studies at the Faculty of Law, University of Prishtina. Throughout the past several years, she has demonstrated a high level of engagement in international legal education, including a semester at Castleton University in Vermont (USA), where she focused on areas such as business and environmental law. Her exceptional performance led to her selection as a member of the 2024 Jessup competition, scheduled to take place this year in Washington DC, USA. In addition to her academic achievements, Vinita has acquired practical legal experience through collaboration with Kosovo institutions. She has actively contributed to legal research and writing projects, including collaborations with the Kosovo Elections Committee and various international organizations. Her commitment to both academic excellence and practical application positions her as a promising and dedicated professional in the field of law.
